Summary
Become a scientist and help count our crucial pollinators.
Description
As part of the Great Georgia Pollinator Census, the Blue Heron Nature Preserve is teaming up with the Georgia Native Plant Society to host a pollinator count at the Blue Heron Community Garden.
Each participant will choose a series of flowers around the garden to observe and count how many honey bees, bumble bees, wasps, butterflies, beetles, flies, and moths visit those flowers in 15 minute segments. Become a citizen science and help contribute to this important research!
Visit www.ggapc.org to learn how to identify and count the pollinators to prepare for the event. Refreshments will be provided.
