Theme: Listening to the Waters

Blue Heron Nature Preserve seeks proposal for works by contemporary talents to design projects built around the notion of water. The theme of “Listening to the Waters” is important to Blue Heron’s connection to its two creeks: Nancy Creek & Mill Creek. These waterways merge and flow into the Chattahoochee River before finally reaching the Gulf.

Artists are welcome to explore the possibility of site-specificity. The theme provides an opportunity for artists working in all media to create original work inspired by any aspect of water such as the effects and relationship of water on the landscape, people and animals, conservation, and pollution. The work must be an outdoor piece that is integrated within the Preserve.
