Eagle Scout Merit Badge Clinic: Reptile and Amphibian Study

 Original deadline for registration and payment is 9:00 pm April 21st. If you register that late, you will not be able to complete pre-requisite 8b. 

The registration deadline has been extended, however you will not be able to complete the 3 month study in time for the Clinic. You will need to individually communicate with Linda Reed and your leaders to coordinate your completion.

*Remember, if payment is deferred or does not complete processing, you are not on the event registration roster. 

This Clinic is a first-time unique experience when we will explore live animals, their adaptations, if they are endangered, and if so, why. Blue Heron Nature Preserve is home to 4 amazing Amphibian Foundation labs,and where critically endangered salamanders are part of a re-population experiment. The "Metamorphosis Meadow" lab is the only one like it on the planet. We will visit a remote lab (crossing a creek, so bring extra shoes) and experience Conservation in action. There is an interview process at the end of the Clinic, so be flexible with pick-up after 1:00 pm, and keep in touch with your Scout. Lunch, snack and reusable water bottle are a must.

MANDATORY PRE-REQUISITES: DEADLINE FOR TURNING IN TO LINDA REED AT  scouting@bhnp.org IS 9:00 PM SUNDAY, APRIL 28TH. PRE-REQUISITES NOT TURNED IN BY THAT TIME AND DATE ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOU AND YOUR TROOP LEADER. 

PRE-REQUISITES: NO HAND-WRITTEN OR COPY-AND-PASTE. RESPONSES MUST BE IN COMPLETE SENTENCES, PARAGRAPH FORM, AND FULL OF RELEVENT DETAILS. PRINT A COPY OF THE MERIT BADGE WORKBOOK TO KEEP YOU ORGANIZED. DO NOT USE THE WORKBOOK TO COMPLETE PRE-REQUISITES, MAKE THAT A SEPARATE FORM. ALL REQUIREMENTS AND THE WORKBOOK CAN BE FOUND ON scouting.org.

8b This requires a three month study, so get on this ASAP.

9a,b Complete this on your own, and be ready to share when called upon to do so at the Clinic.
