Our 2016 Summer Camp and our Nature Weeks for Young Children are guaranteed to be full of exciting nature adventures. Join experienced environmental educators as we search for animals, splash in our creek, and enjoy being outside! Each week offers up a new theme for exploration. Every camper receives a Blue Heron Camp T-Shirt!
All camps and nature weeks will be held Monday – Friday, 9am – 12pm. Add Lunch Bunch from 12pm – 1pm for an additional fee. Parents must provide a lunch. Camp open to ages 5-10. Nature Weeks open to ages 3-6 years. 3 year olds may be enrolled with special permission. All children must be potty-trained.

“Bug Bonanza”: July 18th - July 22nd 1 Space Remains!
We’re going buggy this week! We’ll search under rocks and logs, dip nets in water, and learn how to use butterfly nets in search of a variety of insects- bugs included!
“Bio Blitz”: July 25th - July 29th
How many living things can you find in one week? Can we surpass 100 species? This week, we’ll search for everything from birds and butterflies to mushrooms and salamanders. We’ll post our list and pictures of our finds to Blue Heron’s website, so visitors can learn what to look for at Blue Heron!

Are you looking for a full-day camp option for your child? This year, we will be offering two weeks of afternoon art camps, and three weeks of afternoon drama camps. Both camps will provide children with many opportunities to express their creativity, and use nature as inspiration for creating works of art. Camps are held Monday- Friday, 1 - 4 pm. You may choose to enroll your child in the afternoon camp only, or select our full-day option. Campers who attend a full-day have their Lunch Bunch fee waived. Parents must still provide a nut-free lunch. Open to children ages 5 and up.

Afternoon Drama Camp
Do you have a wannabe actor at home? In this camp, students will use their imagination and inspiration from nature to explore theater games, mime and movement. Students will learn how to talk like an actor, create fun characters, and develop improvisational and acting skills. Each week will end in a short production, held in our new outdoor theater!
About Michael Nangle: Mr. Nangle has been doing theater for 25 years and has a bachelor's and master's degree in Theater. He has directed, acted in and stage managed over 40 theatrical productions. He is also a certified Drama teacher who has taught all age levels, from K-12, and college and adult.
